Football Manager 2013 Gameplay and Details

Download Football Manager 2013 Free Full Version for PC. For those of us who can remember over a decade ago when Football Manager consisted of a simple game with a decent number of options, but not as many as today, and very limited graphics, it has come a long way since then with the release of the latest 2013 version. The 2012 release was a pretty big step up on the 2011 version so expecting something as good this year is seemed unrealistic, but they have done pretty well.

One major advancement you will notice straight away is when you start the game you will be given two new options:

Football Manager Classic This is basically similar to earlier versions of the game taking out all the fluff so you can just get straight down and dirty with the basics.

Challenge For those short of time who just want to accomplish something quickly. You get to play out certain managerial scenarios to see how you do.

Still available is the option to play online, but it has been made much easier to use than previous years, and it now allows you to play tournaments as well as a full season, a great addition.

The next change you will come across is after you have set everything up and have picked a team to manage. The management screen has been modified so it is much easier to follow than last year’s rather erratic layout. A lot of the management options that took a few clicks now appear on this screen making the playability faster than before, it gives you a feeling of having your own PA.

The training regime has been changed although not by much, you still have pretty much the same options as the previous version but you are now allowed to adjust preparation and training intensity. Other realistic additions include your behavior during a press conference, if you respond angrily or passively then this will have some effect on your team. Although there are not any major updates in the gameplay itself, all of these little tweaks help make the game feel more realistic.

Now one of the downsides in previous versions of Football Manger has been the way the game engine works, which to put it simply was pretty bad. So they have taken a major step here and totally rewritten all the code, however there is always a major problem when a new engine comes out, it is always very buggy, and that is the case here. I imagine a number of patches will be released to fix many of these issues throughout the coming months.

So the question is; Is it worth updating to Football Manager 2013? Well for those who follow the game and want it as realistic as possible then you have to buy it, if you are just a passive player then it is probably worth waiting until 2014 when the engine code has been sorted out. Overall though the new additions make it a much better game than the previous version and you can spend hours on it without realizing.
